The light changes. Tenerife inspires.
Every moment has its colour.

Poniente en la playaWATERCOLOURA selection of recent work. Each piece opens its own sheet: medium, series and the story behind the image.

I often paint outside the studio: on the coast, in the mountains or out at sea. A sketch from life keeps the light of that moment; back in the studio it becomes a finished piece.
I moved from Ukraine to Tenerife with my family. Here I found a new relationship with light, colour and landscape. The island changed the way I see and, little by little, the way I create as well.
I paint mainly in watercolour and oil. I also make digital illustrations and paint murals. Each medium lets me explore a different way of telling stories through colour and image.
I paint to hold the light, the movement and the calm of the places that inspire me.
Watercolour and oil are at the centre of my work. I also explore digital illustration and murals, taking my ideas from paper into all kinds of spaces.
I work in series: the Atlantic, the light of the island, the island on canvas and my Ukrainian roots. I also cut linocuts and print them by hand.
